Designed to stress development in the areas of decision-making, business communications, and quantitative analysis, the BSBA degree-completion program includes courses in marketing, finance, information processing, economics, and accounting among others.

Bachelor of Science in Human Services

Degree Description
The Bachelor of Science in Human Services is a degree providing a solid grounding in the social sciences and answering a need for programs in the human services industry. The Human Services degree is for people who are interested in working with or helping others (e.g., the homeless, people with disabilities, children or adolescents) in community organizations (e.g., halfway houses, non-profit or non-governmental organizations, Social Services, or mental health agencies). Human services workers may organize and lead group activities, assist clients in need of counseling or crisis intervention, help clients become involved in their own well-being, assist adults who need supervision with personal hygiene and daily living skills or administer a food bank or emergency fuel program. Under managed care, hospitals, agencies, and other providers have worked to become more cost efficient while retaining a quality level of care. At the same time, administrative and gate-keeping functions of the HMOs and other third-party payers have grown.
